History

On February 1, 1947, the Society established the following mission: To advance the advancement and development of science and technology related to automobiles, thereby contributing to the promotion of academic culture, the development of industrial economy, and the improvement of people's lives.Articles of IncorporationArticle 6), the JSAE was approved as an incorporated association by the Ministry of Education (currently the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (currently the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and the Ministry of Transport (currently the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).

We have registered as an academic research organization with the Science Council of Japan, joined the Japan Federation of Engineering Societies, and are actively engaged in overseas activities as an influential member of FISITA and APAC (Asia-Pacific Automotive Engineering Conferences).

And in April 2011,
JSAE has been certified by the Cabinet Office to become a public interest incorporated association, and has made a new start toward further development as a public interest incorporated association.
