2050 Challenge Declaration
As the only automotive-related academic organization in Japan, JSAE will promote the world's best research on automotive technology and strive to develop the human resources who will be responsible for solving the problems predicted by 2050.
In addition, by leveraging the characteristics of the Society, we will provide a place for open innovation that collaborates with industry, academia, and even the government, and we will also expand into new technological fields, improve quality, and actively and resolutely take on new challenges.
back ground
In 2011, JSAE formulated guidelines for future-oriented activities as the "Future Vision," which was released in 2012. Last year, as the association celebrated its 70th anniversary, it completely revised this and compiled a new vision and roadmap as the "2050 Challenge."
This is the association's activity guideline for solving social issues surrounding future mobility, incorporating future technologies such as electrification, autonomous driving, communication, AI, etc., as well as social and market trends as much as possible. It is something to do. It also serves as a guideline for activities aimed at increasing the presence of the Japanese automobile industry through the active dissemination of new technologies.
We hope that the "2050 Challenge" will provide some useful suggestions to many people involved in automobiles, and that it will help strengthen co-creative relationships with various technological fields and further develop the automobile industry.

technology roadmap
Each Technical Committee under the Technology Board has created a technology roadmap that lists technological issues for the mid-term (2030) and long-term (2050) phases. In creating the roadmap, each committee established a field liaison committee to discuss and examine its own and shared areas, and the roadmap is organized by field.
