"Special Feature: Measuring, Modeling and Predicting"
All manufacturing begins with "measurement." While "measurement" itself is an important objective, the data obtained is also used as verification data for model-based development (MBD), which plays an important role in realizing prototype-less development. In this special feature, we explore the core of Japanese manufacturing by looking at the development cycle of "measurement," "modeling," and "prediction," as well as the challenges facing manufacturing brought about by industry, government, and academia.
