About JASO D001 “General Rules for Environmental Testing Methods for Automotive Electronic Equipment”

This standard, which has been used for many years as a test method for the resistance of automotive electronic equipment to electromagnetic environments and general environments such as temperature, humidity, and vibration, was adopted in March 16750 by the establishment of the JASO D014 standard group based on the ISO2010 series. It was abolished in May.

Please refer to the PDF below for the reason for the abolition and the correspondence table of each JASO.

The JASO standard group that replaces this standard is as follows.

- JASO D 007 Automotive parts - Test methods for electrical disturbances by conduction and coupling (retired in 2019, replaced by the following ISO)

― ISO 7637-1 Road vehicles-Electrical disturbances from conduction and coupling

― Part1: Definitions and general considerations

― ISO 7637-2 4.3 Voltage transient emissions test, 4.4 Transient immunity test

  - ISO 7637-3 4.5 CCC method, 4.6 DCC method, 4.7 ICC method

  - ISO 16750-2 4.6.3 Starting profile, 4.6.4 Load dump

- JASO D 010 Automobiles and auto parts - Electrostatic discharge electrical disturbance test method (equivalent to ISO 10605)

- JASO D 011 Automotive parts - Test method for electrical interference due to narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy (equivalent to ISO 11452-1, -2, -3, -4, -5 and -7)

- JASO D 012 Automobiles - Test methods for electrical interference from narrowband electromagnetic energy (equivalent to ISO 11451-1, -2, -3 and -4)

- JASO D 014-1 Automotive parts - Environmental conditions and function confirmation tests for electrical and electronic equipment - Part 1: General (equivalent to ISO 16750-1)

- JASO D 014-2 Automotive parts - Environmental conditions and function confirmation tests for electrical and electronic equipment - Part 2: Electrical loads (equivalent to ISO 16750-2)

- JASO D 014-3 Automotive parts - Environmental conditions and function confirmation tests for electrical and electronic equipment - Part 3: Mechanical loads (equivalent to ISO 16750-3)

- JASO D 014-4 Automotive parts - Environmental conditions and function confirmation tests for electrical and electronic equipment - Part 4: Climate load (equivalent to ISO 16750-4)

- JASO D 014-5 Automotive parts - Environmental conditions and function confirmation tests for electrical and electronic equipment - Part 5: Chemical load (equivalent to ISO 16750-5)

Additionally, in March 2011, we established technical paper JASO TP-3, which compares and explains the contents of JASOD001 and JASOD014.
