What services can I receive as a member?

As a member, you will receive the following member services:

What types of members are there? How much does it cost to join?

If you join as an individual, you can become either a regular member or a student member.
If you join as a corporation, you will become a supporting member.
Please see Membership Types and Membership Fees for the differences in fees for each type.
What is an individual member?

Is the membership fee the same amount even if I join in the middle of the year?

For individual members, the first year's membership fee will be prorated on a monthly basis from the month of admission to the end of the fiscal year (March).
If you are a supporting member, you will be required to pay the full annual membership fee at the time of joining, even if you join in the middle of the year.
However, membership benefits such as journals will be sent retroactively to April of the current year.
(This does not include benefits for events that have already ended, such as Technical Sessions.)

I have submitted my application for membership, but there is an event I would like to participate in before it is approved.
Can I participate at member price?

When applying for an event, please indicate that you are applying for membership.

If I go to the secretariat and apply for membership, will I receive a membership number immediately?

Registration will be done at any time after the deadline, so you will not be able to receive it on the spot.
If there is an event you would like to participate in, please apply as ``applying for membership'' when applying for the event, as shown in A4.

I don't have anyone to introduce me to, can I still join?
I don't know the member number of the person I introduced.

If you do not have an introducer or do not know your membership number, you can leave this field blank.
There is no problem with joining even if you do not have a referral.
If you do not know your membership number, please enter just your name.

I can't send it from the website membership application, so is there any other way?

We also have paper membership application forms available, so please contact our membership team by phone, email, or fax to request the necessary documents.

I canceled my membership once, but would like to join again?

You can re-join without paying any joining fee within 6 months of leaving your membership (your previous membership number will continue). If you join for more than 6 months, it will be the same as new membership.
However, this only applies if both parties have paid their membership fees in full before withdrawing. (If you have not paid, your membership will be processed after payment.)

What is a group member?

A member treated as a group refers to an individual member in a group unit in which there are, in principle, five or more members enrolled in the same workplace, and a liaison secretary is appointed from among the enrolled members to collectively handle administrative procedures, etc. related to the members.

About changes

I am planning to change my address, affiliation, etc.

If you are an individual member treated as a group, please contact the group administrator. If you are not treated as a group, please send us a change notification form. Please be sure to write (input) your member number and name.
Text emails, faxes, mail, etc. other than the homepage format are also acceptable.
You can also apply for changes from the member's My Page, so please use this.

I would like to change my membership name, how should I do this?

Individual member names cannot be changed.
If you are a current member, please submit a notice of withdrawal, and if you are a new member, you will be required to join as a new member.

About withdrawal

I would like to cancel my membership, what should I do?

Please apply for cancellation from your member's personal page (※).

If you cancel your membership midway through the term, we will not refund any membership fees you have already paid.
In addition, if you have any unpaid membership fees at the time of applying for cancellation, you will not be able to apply for cancellation (you will be able to apply for cancellation after paying your membership fees).

Will I be automatically canceled if I don't pay my membership fee?

it won't work.
If you do not pay your membership fee even if you receive a demand for payment, you will be expelled from the board of directors.
If you wish to withdraw from membership, please be sure to contact the secretariat.

Others

I'm going on a long-term business trip overseas, what should I do during that period? Can I take a break?

There is a suspension system for the first two years.
(Applications must be made every year from the second year onward.) If you are an individual member treated as a group, please contact the group administrator.
If you are not classified as a group, please contact the secretariat in order to submit a notification of adjournment (form).

I haven't received my membership card.

If you are an individual member treated as a group, please contact the group administrator.
If you are not classified as a group, there may be an error in your address registration. Please contact the secretariat.
