Frequently asked questions about applications

What is a group member?

Individual members are eligible for membership as individual members, but depending on their place of work, they may be called ``individual members treated as a group,'' where administrative procedures related to membership, such as distributing copies of the journal, are handled collectively through the company contact person (group administrative person).
If you would like to register as a group, please check the list below and contact the relevant department.

[Group treatment]
A group membership is a group of members who, in principle, have five or more members in the same workplace, and who appoint a liaison secretary from among the members to handle all administrative procedures related to the members.

[Discrimination method]
Please check your member page.

[Regarding joint use of personal information]
The group administrative staff will use the personal information of members or applicants for membership who belong to the group system jointly with the Association as follows:

  1. Joining, withdrawing, and transferring procedures
  2. Distribution of membership cards
  3. Distribution and collection of delegate election ballots
  4. Sending direct mail and e-mail newsletters regarding the Spring/Autumn JSAE Congress, symposiums, and other events hosted by the Society and its branches
  5. Payment, collection and remittance of membership fees
  6. Other liaison duties between JSAE and members
