Exercises (competition)

Utilizing an autonomous driving simulator, participants compete for the time to complete one lap around a predetermined course while using deep learning, from data collection to model construction, learning, data reinforcement, and model improvement.

The challenge course and advanced course are different courses.

Competition details

  • A competition was held in which self-driving carts were used to run on a predetermined course. Contestants will develop their products to be able to clear the following competitions.
    • Competition 1 (A course): Compete in obstacle recognition, avoidance, and judgment
    • Competition 2 (Course B): Compete for correct arrival control and running time system
  • Teams receive a score for each competition (out of 20 points for each competition).
  • Teams can choose one of the two competitions that they are good at, and by completing the selected competition, they can earn +2 points in addition to their score.
    *To select your favorite sport, contact the secretariat by 6:25 pm on Saturday, June 18th, the day before the competition (Details on how to contact will be sent separately)
  • Teams can run each course up to three times within 25 minutes. The highest total score for each run will be used.
  • Compete for the highest score using a total of 50 points.

Development code rights and disclaimer

The rights to the code developed on the system of the competition during the competition period belong to the user. JSAE and its subcontractors (including subcontractors for cloud environments, etc.) will handle files saved on the system by users with care during the period of use of the system, but will not be held responsible for any damage caused by theft, hacking, or other force majeure.
