Simulation video

The qualifying round will be conducted through an online simulation, with the aim of driving the fastest around the course using the digital twin-oriented AWSIM.
Participants will not only learn about the structure of Autoware*, but will also adjust parameters for actual actions and decision-making, and develop new algorithms as necessary.

*Autoware is a registered trademark of The Autoware Foundation.
About class

Starting this year, "Student Classes" and "General Classes" will be available. Please select your class when registering.

In principle, student classes are organized by students only. Professors and supervisors from the student's research lab may be involved as advisors.
(For example, if you have a mixed team of working adults and students, please select the General Class.)

For the general class, teams other than the student class should select it.

purpose:

The purpose of this event is to showcase the skills and backgrounds of participants and deepen interactions with sponsoring companies and others.

Overview:

In a three-minute presentation, participants will promote their individual experiences, skills, and the ideas they used to prepare for the preliminary competition.
After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session at each participant's booth.

Participation requirements:

Japan Automotive AI Challenge 2025 Preliminary Participants who wish to participate (individual participants)

Recruitment method (updated 7/1):

Applications are accepted at the time of registration for the preliminary round, and then selection is based on the submission of a summary

Number of listings:

Up to 40 entries (If the limit is reached, a lottery will be held.)

Judging by sponsor and Japan Automotive AI Challenge Executive Committee

Basic policy of the presentation:

This presentation competition provides a forum where all participants will be equally evaluated, regardless of their technical approach.
Please share your efforts and learnings, whether rule-based or end-to-end.

A clash between next-generation wisdom and human skill!
[Exhibition Event] Self-Driving Kart vs Racer Challenge!!

To commemorate the finals of the Japan Automotive AI Challenge 2025, we will be holding a special exhibition. Self-driving vehicles and skilled humans will compete against each other on the same course!

A multi-vehicle driving competition has been difficult to realize due to safety concerns, so we planned this special showdown to combine technical challenges with excitement at the venue.

The goal is to increase the number of future engineers and fans! Through this project,The current state of autonomous driving technology and the appeal of motorsportsI want to spread the word!
