2023 For Rookie Tournament Overview
Tournament concept
As a new initiative to discover and develop engineers who will lead the automotive industry in the future, we will hold an international competition to compete in AI technology for autonomous driving.
Using this competition, which is held in cooperation between industry, government, and academia, as a starting point, we aim to build a framework that will contribute to the further development of the automobile industry.

Competition details
We will hold a mini-competition that is easy for students and others who would like to try self-driving but do not have the skills to handle specialized software to participate.
Even beginners of self-driving can participate in competitions using a simulator that allows them to learn the flow of data collection, learning, model improvement, and submission of assignments, all under fair conditions by providing a practice environment with GPU on the cloud. We will implement it with.
In addition, in order to lower the hurdles for participation, we will prepare learning materials online so that you can smoothly engage in the exercises, from how to start up the simulator to how to actually use it and the policy for collecting data for learning. We will also provide online teaching materials and tutorials (Zoom) for prior knowledge to tackle the exercises, such as how to build models using neural networks and enrich data. This is basically a separate competition from the above-mentioned Integration Competition, but the top few (assuming 1-2 people) will be able to advance to the finals of the Integration Competition.
