Participating vehicles were conceived, designed, and built by students, and were built in accordance with FormulaSAE® rules. Our motto is for students to make as many vehicle components themselves as possible, rather than simply using commercially available products. In addition, although we allow information to be obtained from professional engineers and researchers, we do not allow them to decide on designs or draw blueprints.
Although we have strict and detailed rules regarding safety, we keep design constraints other than safety requirements to a minimum so that students can fully utilize their knowledge, originality, and imagination.
Eligibility to participate is for students at graduate schools, universities, junior colleges, technical colleges, or vocational schools equivalent to junior colleges. Please note that those who graduate within 7 months before the competition are eligible to participate.
