Standardization is a highly public matter that provides benefits to social needs such as the interests of general consumers, and also has economic effects such as improving quality, safety, and reliability, and ensuring production efficiency and compatibility.
JSAE contributes to the standardization of automobile-related technology, which is Japan's core industry, through the development of domestic and international standards related to automobiles and ITS intelligent transportation systems.

Road Vehicle (TC22) standardization activities

As a Japanese mirror committee body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)'s Road Vehicle Technical Committee (TC22), we provide standard information to the entire automotive industry and consumers through the drafting of the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and the development of the standard JASO. , contributing to technological advances related to automobiles, ensuring safety, increasing production efficiency, and others.

ITS (TC204) standardization activities

As a Japanese mirror committee body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)'s Technical Committee on Intelligent Transport Systems (TC204), we engage in international standardization activities in collaboration with related organizations in various industrial fields such as roads, information infrastructure, logistics, traffic management, and information services. Through this collaboration, we utilize information communication and control technology to eliminate accidents and traffic jams, save energy, coexist with the environment, and contribute to the optimization of road traffic.
