• STEP 2

  2025 year 8 to 9 month

  Proposal summary Document review

  We will review the proposal summaries submitted in STEP 9 and select the teams that will proceed to the next step. We will notify you of the results in early September.

• STEP 3

  October 2025 (planned)

  Company tours and engineer consultations

  Teams that pass the proposal summary screening will be able to participate in a company (automobile manufacturer) tour and engineer consultation. This is a valuable opportunity to see the company's safety technology development site firsthand and have technical consultations with active automotive engineers. Please further refine your proposal and ideas based on the tour and advice.

• STEP 4

  Late October to early November 2025 (planned)

  [Proposal] Submit

  Please submit the details of your proposal, including diagrams and charts, on about 4-4 A5 pages (any format). Use the knowledge and advice you gained from the company tours and engineer consultation sessions to create a more challenging proposal!

• STEP 5

  Proposal Review Meeting/Student and Company Networking Event①★

  Venue: JSAE Conference Room Floor (4F) ⇒ Visitor information
  ・Each team will give a presentation based on their proposal, and the teams that will advance to the finals will be judged and selected.
  ★After the screening, a networking event will be held on the same day and at the same venue between the students from the participating teams and engineers and recruiters from each automobile manufacturer. This will consist of a social gathering where you can talk casually with the company representatives in a relaxed atmosphere, and individual consultations at tables for each company. Please feel free to ask about anything, from everyday research concerns to joint research with companies and your future career path.
  *Part of the travel expenses will be subsidized for teams participating from far away.

• STEP 6

  2025 late 11

  Notification of proposal review results and scale model production subsidy payment

  Teams that pass the proposal screening and advance to the finals will be provided with a subsidy of up to the equivalent of 3,000 US dollars (in Japanese yen, tax included) to cover the costs of producing their scale models.

  Domestic competition

  Japan Regional Championship Finals/Student and Company Networking Event②★

  *The venue is scheduled to be in Tokyo
  Selection will be based on oral presentations and presentations using scale models and prototypes.
  The winning team will be given the right to participate in the international competition.

  After the final competition, we will hold a student and company networking event. This will be an opportunity for students who participated in the competition to exchange opinions with each other and ask more in-depth questions to the automakers, deepening their relationships.

  International competition

  International competition participation

  The national championship team,The 28th International Technical Conference on the Enhanced Safety of Vehicles We will send them to the SSTDC International Conference to be held in.
  - Location: Toronto (Canada)
  ・Travel expenses (round-trip airfare, transportation, and accommodation) will be provided.
  ★The dispatched team will receive training to prepare for their technical presentation at the international conference (scheduled for April 2026).
