To build future road infrastructure in a carbon-free society, technology development and implementation trials of in-motion wireless charging are being actively carried out in Europe, the United States, China, and other regions, with the aim of implementing it on electrified roads (ERS). In Japan, too, demonstration tests on public roads will begin in the fall of 2023 in the Kashiwanoha Campus area. With the showcase at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo as a catalyst, the "Smart Mobility Society Construction Project" is moving forward with the investment of the Green Innovation Fund. The cross-industry Wireless Charging Council for EVs (WEV) has also been launched and is actively working.
This forum will not only provide a basic overview of in-motion charging, but will also provide a comprehensive explanation and introduction of the latest trends and future prospects in related fields such as urban social infrastructure, road systems, and international standards. It will be a valuable opportunity to consider the e-mobility society in Japan and around the world with a view to a carbon-free society in 2050.
