The use of clean hydrogen derived from renewable energy and unused resources is attracting widespread attention not only from the perspective of reducing CO2 emissions as a measure against global warming and improving air quality in urban areas, but also from the perspective of energy security, and policies and technology roadmaps have been formulated in countries around the world, leading to the introduction of hydrogen and fuel cells. In the automotive field, in addition to passenger cars, commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks are being introduced to the market worldwide. Toward the realization of a sustainable hydrogen society that makes effective use of renewable energy, we will consider how hydrogen and fuel cells should be used in conjunction with the spread of electric vehicles, and aim to have people in related academic fields and industries reaffirm future technological development challenges and accelerate research and development.
