Noise & Vibration Committee
1.Aim of activity
To promote the development of noise and vibration technology in the automotive industry, the committee will compile information on trends in noise and vibration technology related to automobiles and provide the results to members through activities such as providing topics for discussion within the committee, hosting symposiums, and hosting the JSAE Annual Congress (Spring).

4. Volunteer activities
This committee focuses on activities aimed at inheriting and developing vibration and noise technology, a fundamental technology for manufacturing, through topics presentation, working group activities, site visits, symposiums, spring organized sessions (OS), and open committee meetings (engineer training programs). In particular, in fiscal year 2026, we are strengthening our efforts to cultivate young engineers who can take on the responsibility of deepening this technology to reflect the changing times.
The 2026 Public Committee (Engineer Training Program) will be co-sponsored by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) D&D2026 (Date: September 1st, Venue: Nagaragawa International Convention Center). Through this co-sponsorship, we aim to strengthen our approach to students and young engineers. In addition to the demonstration experiments conducted so far, new themes such as demonstrations of directional speakers and sound simulators are planned. The Engineer Training Program for 2027 and beyond will be considered and decided during the WG activities in 2026.
Furthermore, the symposium will, as in 2025, introduce the latest technological seeds and needs in a timely manner, and will be held with themes that are particularly appealing to young engineers. In preparation for the 2027 forum, the themes and content will also be considered during the 2026 working group activities.
