CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Committee
1.Aim of activity
This report investigates and reports on the latest technological trends, application examples, and challenges related to CFD technology, which is indispensable for automotive design and development, in order to raise the overall level of technology and explore directions for research and development.

3.Main target areas/matters
- CFD
- Algorithms/Modeling
- Vehicle body/engine/intake and exhaust system/parts elements
- Aerodynamic performance/aerodynamic noise
- Numerical calculation
- Design optimization/robust design
- optimization algorithm
- Machine learning
- AI and data analysis
- CAE/Simulation
4. Volunteer activities
・The committee is scheduled to meet a total of 6 times. At least one of the tours will be planned.
・WG activities will continue from the previous year and will be carried out in three WGs.
The JSAE Annual Congress (Spring) will be held jointly by four committees—heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and vehicle interior—with the theme "Thermal and fluid technologies contributing to carbon neutrality - the latest CFD technologies."
- Promote collaboration between committees on technical issues common to all committees. (e.g., collaboration between the Vehicle Aerodynamics Committee and the Future Aerodynamics Technology Research Group, holding a joint symposium with the Measurement and Diagnostics Technical Committee, and exchanging information on technical issues.)
