Autonomous Driving Technology Committee

1.Aim of activity

Autonomous driving is expected to be a technology that will solve various social issues, create new businesses, and have a major impact on our daily lives. The image of the word "self-driving" varies from person to person, and as a committee that promotes "self-driving," unless we clarify its scope and target technical areas, it could turn into a salon for a wide variety of stakeholders. There is sex.
In this field of global competition, we need to cooperate where we can, and compete where we can to raise the level. In the area of cooperation, it is also necessary to increase the number of engineers and expand the group that can be discussed. Therefore, through the activities of this committee, the aim is for Japan's automated driving engineers to work together and improve their technical level.
Please note that this committee only targets "engineering technology necessary for autonomous driving vehicles to operate." It does not cover a wide range of other ``issues surrounding autonomous driving'' such as social acceptability, impact on society, laws, insurance systems, standards, standards, and business.
