CVT Hybrid Engineering Committee
1.Aim of activity
Basic, applied, and practical research on continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) and hybrid powertrains focuses on environmental issues such as CN (fuel consumption/electricity costs, emissions/environmental burden), performance improvement (efficiency improvement, drivability improvement, power performance improvement) ), are being developed in a variety of ways with the aim of expanding their applications (increasing capacity, making them lighter and more compact, reducing production load), and the technology is advancing day by day. The purpose of this committee is to contribute to the improvement of drive system technology by collecting information on the latest technologies, understanding trends, and discussing technical issues as described below.
(1) CVT technology such as belt, chain, traction drive, etc.
(2) All CVT technologies such as HST
(3) Technology to integrate hybrid powertrain/electric motor functions and internal combustion engine (engine)
(4) Heat and power management technology including electric motors
(5) Analysis of the current state of CVT and hybrid powertrain technology and continuous consideration of the future vision
