Gaseous-Fuel Engine Committee
1.Aim of activity
From the perspective of carbon neutrality of gas fuels as a response to global warming, the effective utilization of natural gas and renewable energy-derived gas fuels is becoming increasingly important. The widespread use of various gas fuels in automotive engines is also anticipated. This association aims to explore utilization methods that leverage the unique characteristics of various gas fuels when adapting natural gas, hydrogen, biogas, LPG, DME, ammonia, etc., to automotive engines. It also aims to clarify the requirements, usefulness, and potential for high-efficiency gas fuel engines, as well as the challenges related to fuel systems, engine component systems, and fuel supply infrastructure. Furthermore, we hope that this association will serve as a platform for information exchange among engineers involved in these research, development, and dissemination activities.

4. Volunteer activities
We plan organized sessions at the JSAE Annual Congress (Spring), and we also organize committees and tours. We bring together people from various industries, and encourage them to become interested in JSAE and join, while encouraging our members to participate in our activities. Furthermore, we aim to raise interest in carbon-neutral gas fuels and gas-fueled engines, promote the spread of gas-fueled vehicles, and seek solutions to the problems they face, while also promoting discussions from the perspective of issues related to the use of renewable energy.
